In collaboration with the United Nations World Food Programme, Balenciaga takes a second round at the goal of ending global hunger by 2030. This month, the luxury fashion house is releasing a new capsule collection comprising of clothing and accessories in efforts to raise awareness of this growing issue.
This wasn’t the first time for Balenciaga to collaborate with them. Last year, they promoted the motto, “Saving Lives, Changing Lives,” while giving proceeds from every sale to the WFP. You can imagine the significant impact this had on the program in 2018. The latest collection is meant to further reinforce the WFP’s capacity to make food accessible for more people around the world.
The new range of products features raincoats, hoodies, unisex bags, socks, scarves, hats, pants and blouses that will be available in various colors. The brand will actually increase the amount going to WFP to 20% from every sale this year.
