Pop icon Lady Gaga is launching her own beauty line with Haus Laboratories in September and it will be the only beauty brand to be sold exclusively on Amazon. That’s right, this collaboration is unique, as unique as the Bad Romance singer herself and marks the first time the giant e-commerce site has launched its own beauty label.
The new collection comes with the standard products we have come to expect from a celebrity makeup line including lipsticks, high shine glosses, eyeshadows, shimmer powder, and many multipurpose products. Pigment is the focus of the project with vibrant tones taking over each and every must-have item. Haus Laboratories belief is that the makeup they create is for enhancing self-expression and not to maintain the status quo. On their website, Haus Laboratories explain that this collaboration isn’t about creating more cosmetic products to flood the market with but the underlying mission of spreading kindness, bravery, and creativity through the ability to be yourself and love yourself. This is one of the main reasons Lady Gaga decided to work with the company and put her stamp of approval on each and every glamorous item.
Created in collaboration with makeup artist Sarah Tanno each product will be vegan and cruelty-free. The inspiration for this new type of creative project comes from the singer’s early days when she was Stefani Germanotta starting out in Manhattan using simple cosmetic brands to build her signature look. Today, Lady Gaga is an international singer and household name and her over-the-top looks have inspired millions of fans to truly be themselves and embrace their creativity. In an interview with Allure Magazine, she said, “Makeup changed my life. I never felt beautiful, and I still have days that I don’t feel beautiful. All of the insecurities that I’ve dealt with my whole life from being bullied when I was younger, they come right back up to bite me. Then I put makeup on and before I know it, I feel this superhero within. It gives me those wings to fly.”
