Not only does it slow down the aging process, but it also protects you from the harms of skin cancer. While you should be using SPF all year round, you need it especially in the summer as both you and the sun are out longer. Find an SPF you can tolerate and apply apply apply. Future you will thank you.

Aloe Vera

Got a sunburn? No problem. Aloe vera is a natural soothing remedy for sunburns, while also being a great moisturizer. In general, an aloe vera infused moisturizer is a perfect addition to your summer kit as it helps reduce dry skin after tanning while also dealing with nasty burns. You’ll find yourself less flaky when you add this to the end of your daily tanning routine.

Vaseline

Our eyelashes and eyebrows make our face what it is. So, we better take care of them. Unfortunately, the sun and pool chlorine we enjoy all summer tends to dry up and lighten up these facial features making them almost invisible. To protect them use Vaseline as it is water resistant and will help keep your eyelashes moisturized and chlorine free.

Exfoliator

Tanning and flakiness tend to go hand in hand when it comes to trying to get that summer glow. That’s why exfoliating on a regular basis is the perfect solution. Try using a light exfoliant on a daily basis while using a heavier one twice a week. This will help ensure you skin is baby smooth all tanning season long.

Vitamin E Nail Polish

Don’t give up the perfect manicure to the pool just yet. If your someone that likes to swim, your gonna find a need for vitamin E. Nails tend to break easier after being in the water for too long but applying a strengthening nail polish will not only prevent breakage, but also help them grow longer.
