Building on the success of its pop-up series in the Middle East, Maison Pyramide is partnering with luxury retailer Harvey Nichols to set up a temporary shop in London. Aside from The Showroom in Paris, this will be its first retail experience in Europe, specifically created for a wider consumer audience.
“Retail today is about engaging retail experiences and the curation of new and innovative brands to give our customers a real sense of discovery when they come to Harvey Nichols. We are delighted to work on this curation with Maison Pyramide to bring their concept to Europe for the first time,” said Laura Larbalestier, Group Buying Director at Harvey Nichols.
With an ongoing mission to encourage and work with brands that support local artisans, hold ethics of sustainability and are fur-free, Maison Pyramide brings you a carefully curated summer collection by a few of the most coveted emerging talents from around the world.
“Consumer behavior is shifting daily, we have seen through our series of temporary shops and showroom retail clients that while quite a few consumers are still keen on the luxury logo, emerging brands are offering a luxury that leading brands can’t offer: freshness. The savvy consumer wants to feel unique in their apparel. Today, we are proud to partner with the iconic Harvey Nichols whom have a history of launching some of the world’s most renowned contemporary brands,” said the co–founders of Maison Pyramide, Giovanina Attieh, Nathalie Mroue & María S. Muñoz.
The Shop will carry international contemporary and advanced contemporary ready-to-wear, accessory and jewelry brands that include Maison Pyramide Paris Fashion Week regulars such as Okhtein, Nafsika Skourti, Yosuzi and Dylanlex and special guests such as Joanna Laura Constantine, Reine, Nadya Dzyak and Magnetic Midnight.
The shop launched on May 27th and will be open until July 14th, on the 4th floor of the Knightsbridge department store. The space will offer an experience that matches the identity of Maison Pyramide and its collective brands; it is executed in partnership with design studios K+1 and MIMSTUDIOS, who’ve both accumulated years of experience working alongside the late architect Zaha Hadid, before moving on to build their own remarkable paths.
Throughout its running period, The Shop will play host to several events, activations and exclusive launches to further expose the brands in a vibrant atmosphere.
A share of the total proceeds of The Shop will be invested into the youth educational programs implemented by the Elisa Sednaoui Foundation in Egypt. Established by actress/model turned social entrepreneur, Elisa Sednaoui, it is dedicated to providing creative learning opportunities for children and youth within local communities in Italy and Egypt.
“I have been a fan and supporter of Maison Pyramide’s work since inception. They are pioneers in the Middle East, bearing on their shoulders the big responsibility to accompany, support and inspire Middle Eastern and international designers, helping them access the “fashion world”. I’m very grateful that they have decided to continue their long-standing commitment to the Funtasia Egypt educational programs by donating proceeds from the sales of this beautiful pop up.” Says Elisa Sednaoui.
In continuation to the original pop-up, a second space is set to launch on
Saturday June 1st, just in time for Eid.
