It’s been over a hundred years since the inception of the iconic Coca-Cola contour bottle. The bottle is now revived in the most fashionable manner, while bringing together some of Egypt’s most popular talents for the love of Coca-Cola.
The first wave of fresh faces in Coca-Cola’s new campaign were the stars Ahmed Hatem, Amina Khalil, Amir Eid, Lara Scandar, Mohamed Sharnouby, Enjy Kiwan and Tamer Hashem. The second wave, on the other hand, entailed a number of influencers who wanted to join the campaign simply for the love of the brand, including Batool El Daawi, Soraya Shawky and Ahmed Eid. These modern-day icons came together to celebrate the return of the historic bottle through sharing real-life stories that connect them to Coca-Cola.
With the slogan ‘A story behind each bottle’, the campaign showcases the artists in their natural element along with their reliance on Coca-Cola to keep them going and refreshed. For celebrity makeup artist Soraya Shawky, Coca-Cola is what keeps her calm when she has to handle the responsibility of clients’ blind trust in her beautifying magic on their big day. For presenter Enjy Kiwan, Coca-Cola is her opportunity to unwind from the busy life somewhere on a beach. For photographer and director Batool El Daawi, Coca-Cola is her motivation to keep going after the first three hours of studio work. Needless to say, everyone has a different relationship with the bottle but the one thing they have in common is that it represents that pick-me-up time of their day.
Coca-Cola, especially in the contour bottle, has always been there throughout our childhood and youth, and still maintains that authentic Cola taste experience that brings refreshment with every sip. Having it back gives us all solace that we will have that uplifting inspiration we need whether we’re working or celebrating life and art.
