For a unique experience combining sport and love of BMW cars, the BMW Golf Cup International tournament marked its 22nd anniversary in Egypt as it took place this year at the Westin Cairo Golf Resort & Spa, Katameya Dunes in New Cairo. While guests were offered coffee from Nespresso and an opportunity to check new BMW editions and the latest Omega watches, the winners were awarded valuable prizes from Omega, Nespresso and St. Dupont, and more importantly, have been qualified to represent Egypt at the BMW World Cup in March, which will be held in Mexico.
Since Egypt is one of the first countries to participate in this championship since its establishment, this tournament was considered a special event for the German brand. It also had a number of local and international sponsors, among which was Iwan for Investment and Development, a company exerting great efforts to build sustainable and integrated communities with an impressive portfolio of seven residential and commercial projects to date.
At the event, BMW Egypt showed off its latest vehicles, including the BMW 2 Series convertible and the all-new BMW X3 in the xDrive30i and M40i editions. The M40i edition is actually being assembled for the first time in the Middle East within the Bavarian Auto Group factories in Egypt. Moreover, the seventh and all-new generation of BMW 5 series, which is also locally assembled, was put on display for the first time with Active Air Stream Kidney Grille technology that automatically opens and closes the front grille according to cooling needs.
On a final note, we can tell that BMW has paid close attention to customer interests as the German manufacturer held events for automotive sport and some naval races in addition to becoming a top sponsor for golf over its long-term history.
