This autumn-winter season marked a big return for fur. Fur of all kinds were scene on the runways and the stores. Fake fur in bright and colorful hues especially turned out to be a favorite of the season.

Huwa
Menswear accessories brand HUWA launched their debut collection this year with an impressive collection of tie clips, cufflinks and signature lapel pins.
Irregular Designs

Only 16 years old,2017 was a big year for the up and coming model Kaia Gerber (and daughter of Cindy Crawford) who marked her runway debut for fashion brands that included Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Prada, Chanel, Fendi, and Versace.

Not only did the sensational singer make a big comeback with new singles in 2017, but she also tied the knot in a fairytale wedding that took place in Lebanon.

The brand launched by sisters Aya and Mounaz Abdelraouf opened its first store in Cairo this year and Superstar Beyoncé was spotted wearing one of their designs, which she bought herself!

A hot trend that’s also super comfortable? This year proved that pajama dressing could both be comfortable and cool.
Red
If there is one color to sum up the winter of this year it has been red. Models strutted down the runway in all-red ensembles that were certainly head turning. Kojak’s collection “Rage of the Angels” was no different as red dominated most of its looks.
Shamekh Bluwi
The Jordanian illustrator and fashion designer who visited Egypt in 2017 is an internet sensation with more than 350 thousand followers on Instagram alone. We couldn’t get enough of his glamorous sketches throughout the year. The illustrator has also turned to interior design with his latest project Rukn Designs.
TasselEarrings
If there were one accessory that dominated the year 2017, it would definitely be tassel earrings. Fun, flirty, and with the ability to transfer any outfit, we hope that the trend is here to stay.

From the Women’s March that kicked off 2017 in the United States in January to women empowerment conferences in Cairo, this year marked a big one for women’s causes. Here’s to even more in 2018.

Although the late designer Yves Saint Laurent passed away in 2008, his imprint on the fashion world will never fade. In 2017, two museums to honor and showcase the work of the iconic designer opened in Paris and Marrakesh.
