Mesnswear accessories brand HUWA recently launched the their collection at Bar’Oro at The Ritz Carlton in Garden City. The exclusive event that was organized by FLARE PR brought together fashion influencers, actors, stylists, designers and press in a warm welcoming of the brand into the rapidly growing fashion scene.
The fresh brand that just launched in late October, displayed their debut collection of tie clips, cufflinks and signature lapel pins titled ‘El Sandstorm’ at the launch. The founder, Hisham Wali, also unveiled four exclusive pieces that were added as an extension to the collection at the event.
HUWA launched their only point of sale; their e-store; on the 28th of October after building a hype as the pins made appearances on a number of celebrities including Nicolas Moawad and Marwan Younis. As well as influencers such as Bassel Alzaro and Bassem Kameel and at major events such as on Amr Youssef at El Gouna Film Festival, and finally by regional fashion bloggers such as Jad Hadid and Ahmed El Sayed (also known as Twisted Curlz).
It is evident that Wali drew inspiration for his debut collection from his upbringing in and around the Middle East and GCC countries. All pieces in the collection are a reference to strong symbols of the Middle East, including arabesque patterns, as well as the kaff and blue eyes all produced by talented Egyptian artisans with gold and platinum plated 925 sterling silver, often embellished with diamonds, semi precious stones, and pearls.
The location chosen for the event Bar’Oro, also known as The Golden Bar, complimented the brand’s extravagant aesthetic, where the crowd enjoyed freshly rolled cigars, drinks and canapés to the tunes of a curated playlist of oriental music and a pianist, reflecting the inspiration behind El Sandstorm.
