Azza Fahmy has always mastered the art of interpreting cultural and historic references to contemporary jewellery.  Her latest collection, the striking “Falahy” collection continues this ethos by bringing to life the story of traditional jewellery with spectacular handcrafted 12-piece interpretation designed to appeal to all ages.

Azza Fahmy expressed that this collection is dedicated to “the peasant woman, who plays a great role in this society that no one notices. The Egyptian woman whether from a desert or urban location has had and continues to have a huge impact on modern jewellery, and who we should acknowledge for introducing and popularizing many styles including kerdan and the ubiquitous serpent motif.”

Inspired by, and reflecting the Egyptian traditional heritage from across the country, this collection creatively captures the skilled artistry of intricate fine wire work, detailing that’s visible from every angle and the essence of cultural and jewellery traditions. Offering a fresh artistic perspective that fuses Egyptian, Greco-Roman and Victorian origins, the collection delivers authentic, individual style.

The collection is a mix of eye-catching bangles, rings, and earring, in addition to a necklace and matching earrings that are uniquely inspired by and honoring the Egyptian artist & performer Taheya Karyoka, are set in the trademark metal mix combination of 18ct gold and sterling silver harmoniously layered to create a chic 3D appearance

Featuring semi-precious stones, rose cut diamonds and pearls, coins, textured finishes, calligraphy and motifs, the collection is a modern contemporary luxury takes on traditional jewellery that can only be delivered by the Azza Fahmy design house.

The “Falahy” collection is available online at www.azzafahmy.com and Azza Fahmy retail outlets from October 2017.
