Women empowerment has been a universal marathon that many have been trying to win; however, each country in the world has its female citizens that have been breaking crucial stereotypes against them. To celebrate International Women’s Day this month, we are presenting to you our top admired women who are pushing to make a huge difference to the world today.

Multi-talented Amina Khalil

The Egyptian actress Amina Khalil has lately been the talk of town, proving that she can offer a lot to the table other than her ladylike performances in the the Egyptian series ‘Grand Hotel’ . Lately she surprised us all when she showed us that she can also sing! Egyptians were mesmerized with her outstanding performance in the new empowering song ‘Nour’ by Zap Tharwat, as the song demands gender equality and refuses gender discrimination. To top that, she has also been inspiring Egypt’s youth with her TEDxCairo Women talk about body shaming.

Promising Farida Temraz

The ambitious young Egyptian fashion designer Farida Temraz transported Egyptian glam to the big apple, aiming to empower women through her stunning ‘The Executive’ collection. Temraz has set the fashion bar high for Egyptian designers after winning the New York Fashion Week Best Female Couture Designer award! Her carefully curated pieces were designed with elegance and perfect attention to detail that embraces the curves of the modern female body.

Champs Sara Ahmed & Hedaya Malak

The two bronze medal winners took Egypt to the 2016 Rio Olympics, proudly making room for Egyptian women in sports. Hedaya Malak, the Taekwondo winner, was the first woman in Egypt’s sporting history to be nominated by the Egyptian Olympics committee to be the flag bearer at the closing ceremony of the Olympics. Meanwhile, champ Sara Ahmed was identified as the first Arab to win the Rio 2016 Olympic medal in weightlifting and the first Egyptian to stand on the podium.

Inspirational Emma Watson

The ‘Harry Potter’ star Emma Watson is not only known for her fascinating roles in creative genres but also for her dedication towards charity work. Just recently, the UN Women Goodwill Ambassador visited Malawi to spotlight the importance of ending child marriage. She met with a group of girls who returned to school after having their marriages annulled. The young feminist has been determined to make a difference for quite a while as she has been fighting gender equality through her HeForShe campaign.

Fierce Christine Lagarde

French lawyer and Chief of International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde has been focusing on women’s economic empowerment, pointing out that women boasts economic growth and can reduce poverty. She has also concentrates on the fact that educating women is the single best investment a country could participate in. In 2014, Forbes magazine ranked her as the 5th most powerful woman in the world.

Glamourous Ashley Graham

Plus sized beauty Ashley Graham has gone where no other model has been before. With covers on the magazines of Vogue, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle, the model has been encouraging other women to feel secure with their body figures no matter what. The American model that appeared in several Levi’s campaigns created a successful attempt where she sent her latest collection of plus-size lingerie down the New York Fashion Week runway. She has been sending out positive vibes to the world as she wishes other women would display their figures just like she has been doing.

I’m amazed, I must say. Rarely do I encounter a
blog that’s both educative and engaging, and let me tell you, you have hit the
nail on the head. The issue is something which not enough men and women are speaking intelligently about.
I’m very happy that I stumbled across this in my hunt for something regarding this.
