Coushies brings artists from different fields of art with Egyptian embroiders to produce elegant hand-embroidered decorative cushions that would be perfect to decorate your contemporary home.

Coushies collaborates two NGOs to produce cozy cushions that are made by talented underprivileged Egyptians, bringing out the hidden talents.

One of the NGOs, Tawasol for Development, provides free education to children through workshops that are certified by the Ministry of Education in order to help them gain a craft skill while continuing their academic education.

Rommana for Development Workshops is the second NGO that participates through training and employing women in the underprivileged Mokattam area of Cairo on the crafts of sewing and upholstery.

“Coushies aims to empower Egyptian women and children to turn the authentic designs of Egyptian artists into unique products. We are very happy to be bringing together the work of graphic designers, visual artists, and painters, and fashion and jewelry designers, and also to be collaborating with NGOs that provide the workshops that aim to develop local talents through the making of the cushions,” expressed Yasmine El-Mehairy, Co-founder of Coushies.
