THE FORMULA
Gliding, shiny, melt-away
The ROUGE COCO formula is entirely revamped for even more gentleness, comfort, radiance and melt-away quality. CHANEL Research elevated its high standards by uniting the expertise of its Sensorial Analysis Laboratory, Makeup Formulation Laboratory and Physical Expertise Laboratory. It studied the physical, sensory and emotional characteristics of lipstick to guide the formulation.

After measuring the perceptible and visible sensoriality according to different composition parameters, CHANEL Research selected the ideal texture, the perfect balance between expectation, feel and the result upon use. The outcome is a formula that integrates a “three-dimensional” hydrating and comforting complex, the Hydraboost complex, at the heart of ROUGE COCO.
Because lips are more beautiful when they are perfectly hydrated, the Hydraboost complex claims:
SENSORY HYDRATION
Lips are dressed in a supple, comfortable veil.
A specific wax, selected by CHANEL Research, becomes one with lips on contact for a glide-on, melt-away and softer feel. This facilitates use and offers true pleasure on application.
INTENSE HYDRATION
Lips are intensely hydrated and nourished.
A butter composed of three plant waxes (jojoba, mimosa and sunflower) continuously diffuses its nourishing, hydrating and protective properties with each use, without a hint of oiliness or thickness. A sensation of intense comfort envelops lips.
VISIBLE HYDRATION
Lips are plumped, smooth and curved.
A polymer film combined with silicone micro-beads fills creases and rough areas to prevent color from bleeding and feathering. It maintains hydration in the upper layers, lastingly increasing the intensity, hold and shine of color.

To ensure the success of this new collection, the ROUGE COCO pigments are extremely fine. Subtly balanced, they do not weigh down the formula and therefore do not dry out the lips. Color remains comfortable and true, radiant and discreet.
