I first heard about Lettuceat a few months back, when a fellow health-and-fitness enthusiast handed me their menu. Needless to say, I was impressed! For starters, I’m a salad fanatic, and seeing all the colorful salad options, my mouth started watering, to say the least!
Soon enough, I officially became their number one fan, and addict! From their delicious salads, to their scrumptious–and healthy–dips and deserts, I simply couldn’t get enough of them.
Lucky for me, I talked to the founder of Lettuceat, Ahmed Shereba, who, needless to say, is a health and fitness enthusiast as well! For those of you, including myself at first, who thought that the Lettuceat journey ends with delicious food, we couldn’t have been more wrong!
For Shereba, it’s more than just about a delectable gourmet experience, and re-positioning the salad game; it’s about living right…promoting a healthy lifestyle. So what is it, that Lettuceat has in mind? They’re starting a Fat Loss Competition, and no, that doesn’t mean, weight loss or extreme dieting…that simply means being fit and eating healthy; in other words, what it says on the scale is of no concern…you’re asked to build muscle and loose fat, and if the scale drops, so be it!
Lettuceat teamed up with Social Zone, Egypt’s top rated agency in Event Organizing, as well as with the best-rated entities in the fitness industry in Egypt, in order to bring you the Fat Loss Challenge.
So…how does it work? It’s pretty simple! First, you’ll need to go register at one of the following locations: Reform Pilates, CrossFit Engine 38, Samia Allouba Gym Branches, Stallions Locations, and/or Train for Aim. The latter will take place during the first week of October. Secondly, you will dedicate yourself to a healthy lifestyle for ten weeks, and hopefully continue to follow it after the challenge is over. During that period, you can go to any of the previously mentioned locations to get your fat measured at any time.
Three male winners and three female winners will be chosen…naturally, those with the highest fat-loss percentage. The six will be honored at the upcoming festivals, and needless to say, knowing first-hand how generous the Lettuceat team is, they will be drowned in giveaways and prizes.
And yet, “everyone’s a winner,” according to Shereba, because in the end, each and every contestant will pick up the traits of living right.
Psychologists believe that it takes 21 days to change a bad habit, so hopefully, after successfully completing the 10-week-long challenge, all of us will be on the road to a healthier way of life…one that we owe to ourselves, and one that we truly deserve.
