The designer founded the “Atelier Sophie Jacqmin” in 2001 and soon after began collaborating with partners such as Cirque du Soleil, the MGM, the designer Hiroyuki Yamakado, Saab and the Club Med Group.
Since 2004, the hospitality sector has represented an important creative outlet for Jacqmin, allowing her to give free rein to her imagination by creating new and original sceneries. She is inhabited by the desire to create new, surprising and rich environments.
In 2013, she created the “Entre Chien et Loup” design studio, expanding it in 2014 with “Au — Loup!” an agency specialized in the creation of deco rational projects for children.
Entirely dedicated to “living together,” the Center Parcs forest cottages, “Le Bois aux Daims,” are treated as warm nests where we meet with family and friends to share mo- ments of relaxation and games.
The general project concept is a reinterpretation of the archetypal country house, cabin and cottage, with four major themes being intertwined. First, the play of light and shadows : a large shadow of the profile of a wolf projected on a wall in the children’s and shadows of trees on the printed textile sofas. Secondly, the wooden construction set, third the herbarium, or master bedroom, and fourth, the source, the well, i.e. the sink plays the role of a well in the bathroom.
All of these elements combined come together to form a one-of-a-kind, beautiful, and creative design project.
