David Haviland, originally from the United States, left New York in 1842 to set up his own factory in Limoges. His sons Charles-Edward and Theodore have continued to expand the family business to make it one of the most important factories in Europe. The charm and prestige of this outstanding French porcelain has won over important Heads of State and the greatest courts from all over the world.

Haviland upholds its outstanding expertise, combining the refinement of porcelain with a finesse for decoration.

Once the design has been created, it is applied to the porcelain ware using chromolithography. The decoration of handles and buttons is applied with a brush by spinners. The elegant gold, platinum and colored filigree are all hand crafted, and the delicate porcelain becomes decorated with shapes and colors.

With its accurate crafting and high level of prestige, Haviland redefines the way in which fine tableware is conceived. The House of Haviland favors creativity and hand-crafting in order to produce exclusive pieces.

Haviland meets all the criteria: white, decorative and prestigious. The factory offers a white collection with two unique finishes: diamond and velvet. Haviland also offers a wide range of collections with floral, geometric, or animal patterns. Combining the creativity of master craftsmanship with the demands of modernity, Haviland produces exceptional designs conceived in a unique, contemporary style.

Haviland also offers collections of prestigious and refined reliefs and ornamentations, adorned with elegant designs using gold leaf. The ornamentation highlights the magnificence of this precious metal. 24-carat gold is applied with a brush by spinners. This meticulous process ensures that high-quality decorations fit for stately tables are created.

The porcelain factory evokes the cultural phenomenon of the art of entertaining French-style, combining innovation and tradition. The subtle details on the porcelain fuse with the harmonious colors to create graceful and original forms.

Since 1912, The Ritz has been an integral part of the Parisian legend. With its sophistication and elegance, the hotel has initiated a new way of living. As a real private residence and the very embodiment of luxury par excellence, the Ritz quickly became the preferred address for princes and artists alike.

The Ritz Paris collection was born from this encounter between Haviland and the luxury hotel, integrating the French factory into one of the meccas of French gastronomy. Bearing the Haviland stamp, the tableware contributes to the excellence of the service in this idyllic setting. The Marthe, Ritz Imperial, and Ritz Club collections all combine outstanding expertise with prestige. The delicacy of the porcelain complements perfectly the finesse for traditional cuisine in one of the finest settings in Paris.
