The Glamour Beetle Armchair

Designed by architect and interior designer Andrea Colombo–with a penchant for iconic cars– in collaboration with Linda Assandri, who loves incorporating Swarovski details and adding a dash of glam to her creations, the Glamour Beetle Armchair comes to life as a unique bled of baroque design and auto art, also known as “BarocCarArt.”

The Glamour Beetle showed in April at the Fuorisalone 2013, Milan, as was featured in over 250 blogs and magazines since then!

This luxury armchair was–in fact–a fully intact Volkswagen Beetle MY1968 wings–with LED lighting–and an upholstered chair with Swarovski crystals.

A truly unconventional piece of furniture, it also comes with solid finishes in silver leaf or gold leaf–with the latter available in actual 24 carat cold and the former available in pure silver.  The Glamour Beetle is an artisanal product with a high degree of customization.

Colombo, who founded the ZAC Glamour Design company–based in Milan–in 2013, states that the firm does a lot of made-to-order furniture, tailored to fit every customer’s needs and demands.  The company designs and creates unique and iconic furniture, based on the client’s vehicle of choice.
