The F-type has been a long time in the making

The F-type has been a long time in the making, but definitely one that is worthwhile.

Engineered with advanced technology to be the ultimate sports car that connects the driver the highest performance and immediate responsive handling

Even though Jaguar is known for it’s sporting history, ironically its last debut was in 1961 with the release of the extravagant E-type.

Come 2013 the British manufacturer released a beautiful athletic sports car in the truest sense.

The F-type has a beautiful strong structure that is dual-creased made out of AC600 alloy aluminum that makes for a stable platform for the car providing agile handling and allowing the suspension system to connect and give feedback to the driver.

The car tilts forward at the nose of the car with a dead-fish-mouth grille. The rear is muscular with upside-down taillights that resemble a dagger blade.

But this roadster is not all looks and no brains. In fact it is strong as it is aesthetically pleasing. With 3 models to choose from, the F-type comes in the standard engine of 340-horsepower V6, the 380 horsepower S and the track-ready V8 that erupts to a 495 horsepower.

The Jaguar F-type uses Jaguar’s new generation of Supercharged 3.0 V6 engines that are very powerful and refined. This generates power outputs of 127 HP per litre resulting in a thrilling driving experience. The boost control is sophisticated and together with a secondary throttle valve they work to ensure that the torque rises over various speed ranges. The F-type also includes a Stop/Start system which improves fuel consumption by 5 per cent.

The car has front-engine and rear-driven which makes it shift like lightening with Jaguar’s Quicshift 8-speed transmission. The V6 hits 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds with a top speed of 260 km/h; the V6S reaches from zero to 100 Km/h in 4.9 seconds and top speeds at 275 km/h and the V8S in 4.3 seconds and reaches to a whopping 300 km/h top speed.

This car has been described as a more grown up version of a Porsche Boxter and financially approachable than a Porsche 911 but more importantly a sweeter ride.
