Peace Industry rugs, the producer of high quality, handmade, and 100 percent lambs wool felt rugs, just launched its Sprig 2013 collection, bringing you rugs, baskets and “choobs,” which not only will keep you feeling warm and fuzzy, but are also sustainable and truly green.

he dynamic husband-and-wife duo, Melina and Dodd Raissnia, create their impeccable collections out of their workshop in Turkey, blending traditional craft with contemporary art and design. Believe it or not, these artists use the same process the nomads of central Asia have been using for centuries, staying true to the art of the craft.

The couple committed themselves to creating rugs that would not harm the environment, and they see their brand as a representation of the growing movement in the business world to seek ways of impacting the planet and the society in a positive way.

Exceptional in quality, earth friendly, fair trade, and chemical free, Peace Industry’s rugs can also be customized.

Their “retrometric” designs–a blend of retro and geometric patterns–brings creative, unique, and colorful pieces of art. Other than rugs, they also produce baskets, which are made of rug remnants and sewn by hand, ensuring that you’ll get a one-of-a-kind storage–yet also beautiful–piece, to help you stay organized.

You can also opt for one of their ultra comfortable–and eco friendly–choobs, which are made from remnants and seconds in the company’s San Fransisco show room and are stuffed with upcycled felt scraps as well as donated fabric pieces from clothing designers who are friends of the dynamic couple.

As for their latest collection, it truly inspires nature with its natural “retrometric” shapes, earth tones, and its retro color palettes.
