This year is passing by so fast, and before we know it, we will be switching our bathing suits with long-sleeves. Fall is finally here, and this season is all about the merge of elegant and comfortable vibes. We are talking chunky sweaters, stable boots and transitional light jackets. It’s time to dive into your favorite knits and comfy sets, without ending up looking like a cushioned polar bear – not until December, anyway. Whether you are going out or snuggling by the fire, we are spilling some tea about our favorite cozy looks to recreate this fall season.
Sweater Vests
They have been lurking around for ages, and dare we say, they’ve finally made their comeback from being a heritage of the countryside to one of the hottest fall trends this year. In a fashion statement, Vita Haas, the cofounder of the downtown boutique café Forgot said, “It’s just one of those things that come in and out like leg warmer, capris or fanny packs.” Since layering is the best go-to solvent when the weather is still unpredictable, we suggest throwing a cropped version of a sweater vest on an oversized white shirt for a comfy look. Or perhaps, layered over a silk midi dress and ankle boots for a night out. This one-piece can be so versatile and goes with almost everything.
Oversized Suits
Kaia Gerber Kendall Jenner Valentino short suit
Comfy, comfy, comfy… You can never go wrong with a slightly slouchy fit suit for this season. An oversized suit is ideal for practicality and minimalism, along with a pair of white sneakers and a white t-shirt underneath. A match made in sartorial heaven. Sure, you can play with other options from pastels and patterns to short sets in warmer weather. An oversized suit is quickly becoming the uniform of choice for business owners and trend-forward A-listers. You can pair it with slouchy jeans for casual dates or a pair of shorts for an effortlessly trendy look. Not to mention, you can use the set of one suit with many other separate pieces.
Trench Coats
There are a few pieces that never go out of style; one of them is the so-called trench coat. They are timeless, adjustable and easily recreated. You can wear it with your fancy clothes or casual attire, while the dashing bold colors are for the women who lean more towards novelty and fashion statements. For a simple office look, you can wear a double-breasted “Crusader” belted trench coat in camel hue or nude. Throw it over your favorite print dress with some heels for a chilly evening out. This item will always transform your final look and be a true classic essential to any wardrobe. Very Sherlock Holmes chic.
Cashmere Pullovers

Nothing says fall quite like dressing in cozy sweaters and oversized knits. It’s no news that warm sweaters are made for this season, but shall we say, the secret is all in the fit. When you go for an oversized sweater, it must have some sort of tailoring to it; we recommend you look for a relaxed-fitting rather than a lanky one. What we love about this trend is that you can mix and match all kinds of pullovers, especially the neutral cashmere ones – they go with almost everything. Pair it with a soft silk skirt and crop it with a belt. You can also wear a chunky sweater with a pair of dark-washed jeans or skinny biker shorts with sneakers. Just make sure you have chosen the right fit.
The Monochromatic Look
Versace Hugo-Shasha-Mossi
You can’t be mistaken with a monochromatic outfit choice. It has been around for so long, and we bet it is here to stay longer. When it comes to fashion, there are no rules to follow but to feel your best when you get dressed. You can go for one color that matches your skin and integrate other shades that are still in harmony. Say you choose brown for the day; you can use similar tones that could work with it like white, sand or camel. You can even add a color that compliments the look like black, blue or blush. Any monochromatic outfit is easy to copy and works great for everyone depending on the shades you put together and your skin tone.
A Blue Touch
Probably one of the most striking colors of the entire season. So many name descriptions and tones come to mind, like dreamland, lochmara blue, Pantone, antique ivory and royal blue. It returned on the runway this year reflecting calmness, connection and confidence before it hit the streets. What we know to be true is that neutral shades with a touch of blue tend to give off a very flattering final look. You can wear a monochromatic suit with a bright or dark blue bag or rock some navy pants for an earthy look. It is so diverse, and if styled correctly, will make you look effortlessly chic.
Puff-Sleeve Tiered Dress
This is the perfect transitional outerwear piece from summer to fall. Mini dresses this season have a magical spin embedded in the puffy sleeve. Perfect for day-to-night looks, puffy sleeves can turn anything classic and vintage to a modern silhouette. The dramatic sleeves always catch the eye, while creating an illusion of a slimmer waistline. You can pair that with some knee-high boots or a pair of divergent combat boots for more of an edgy look.
Slouchy Boots
Gianvito Isabel Marant
We like to reminisce about the eighties with these folding double-cross boots. They made an appearance on various virtual fashion shows, from Saint Laurent to Tory Burch, and were spotted on the Duchess of Sussex herself, Meghan Markle. They are variable and come in different heights and materials. You can wear them with a mini skirt, a pair of shorts or a flaunting print dress. If you are planning to wear pants, make sure you tuck them in the boot. For more of a serene sophisticated look, put them on with a slit-silk dress to peek from underneath. After that, you can complete the look with red lipstick, some hoops and a sleek ponytail. If this doesn’t speak romance and elegance to you, we don’t know what does.

Celine SS 2020 Celine SS 2020
Paying tribute to the seventies, this skirt wasn’t expected to make a comeback, but here we go. The trendsetter piece blessed the runway of Celine and Givenchy. The best part is that you can always go for the perfect look with all the shapes and lengths they come in, but the most anticipated length this fall is the midi. They are detailed, fun, and playful; you can wear it with a brown belt along with a tucked-in blouse or pair it with some high boots and a cropped sweater. This look can also give boho vibes if worn with a flared or a ruffle shirt and some cowboy boots. Chic, laid-back and a subtle show-stopper.
Quilted Leather Bags
Tibi Tibi
It is about time to quit your beach bag and hold a leather one instead. This fall, leather is prevailing strongly in textures, but mainly in bags. We are head-over-heels about the quilted carryall in particular. They are comfortable, are sustainable and spacious. Think about it… leather and comfort quilts – a definite bonus!
