Cover ups are a genius way to add flair to any outfit! From kimonos to duster coats, designers are loving them and so are we! As seen on the runway of Acne and 3.1 Phillip Lim, pair your favorite piece with a plain tee and shorts for a casual summer look, or opt for a pair of classic pants or jeans for a more polished version of your everyday outfit. You can also choose the perfect lightweight jacket paired with a skirt or even a dress for a fun night out.

Purple Hues
Mauve tones are in this season and we love every shade of purple gracing the runways! Whether you prefer lilac, lavender or deep purples, you’ll definitely find the perfect piece for you! Go for an all-purple look, mixing different shades and textures à la Alberta Ferretti, or pair your favorite mauve item with a neutral hue as seen on the Burberry Prorsum runway.
Hippie-Chic
The seventies made a powerful statement this season of numerous runways, bringing us beautiful silks and chiffons, soft and decadent. Bohemian flair infused the collections of Altuzarra and Honor; filled with charming patterns and soft washes. Be careful with these prints and patterns, you don’t want to end up looking like a fashion faux-pas. If you’re going to mix them, steer clear of strong and obvious prints. To play it safe, opt for a hippie-ish dress paired with plain heels and a simple bag.
Pretty in Pink
The powerhouses of the fashion industry went for pink this season, including Chanel and Prada. The beautiful thing about pink is that it comes in various shades, thus matching numerous skin tones and styles. For a softer look opt for pastel pinks; for an edgier one go for a bold fuchsia.
Under the Sea
I personally love this trend (which shouldn’t come as a surprise since I love the sea!) Shades of blue combined with soft fabrics perfectly embody the sea and Rodarte, Hugo Boss and Valentino–just to name a few–clearly love this trend too! Dress it down by sticking to light, printed fabrics and dress it up by going for more embellished and asymmetrical pieces.
Cool Crochet
Yes, crochet is cool this season! Going hand in hand with the Hippie-Chic trend, crochets are everywhere, courtesy of Chloé and Emilio Pucci. From traditional whites to colorful combinations, wear your favorite piece to the beach or on a night out with the girls. Mix it up with some fun bling!
